Volunteer Work

  • Gems for Gems has been currently working with Orange Theory Seton and Shawnessy for a winter clothing and winter boots drive!
A big thank you to all who continue to give and it makes a difference in the lives of so many!

  • Neena has previously volunteered at Trout Unlimited, where she partook in their annual fish rescue.

This fish rescue is held annually by Trout Unlimited and Alberta Environment and Parks. This fish rescue is held to save trapped fish in the draining irrigation canals all across Southern Alberta. To date, over 880,000 fish have been rescued!

In addition to Trout Unlimited, Neena has been a long-time volunteer at Grow Calgary.

Grow Calgary is a non-profit organization dedicated to growing fresh produce for compassionate food agencies across Calgary, thus ensuring every Calgarian has access to healthy, local food. Grow Calgary is located on an 11-acre parcel of land just west of Canada Olympic Park and have been up and running for almost 4 years.

  • At St. Boniface School our playground is ready for retirement. We have set out to raise over $358,000 to replace the aged and outdated equipment with new, multi-sensorial, inclusive and accessible play elements.

  • Our annual Christmas Jewelry drive through which the women occupying Calgary shelters are given Christmas gifts from and collected by women throughout Calgary and other parts of the country (so far, N.B., Ont., N.S., and Qc,).
